Polycom Realpresence Group Series 500-Whitelist/Web Access Issues

Hello,

 

Please see my system information below:

Model: Realpresence Group 500

System Software: Realease - 5.0.0-211246

 

I am having problems with ghost calls.  However, now my main problem is I used the whitelist function and forgot to whitelist the IP address associated with this room system.  Therefore, I cannot access the system via the web.  I would like to avoid doing a factory reset if at all possible because my Polycom is out of warranty.

We have

1. Polycom Trio 8800 with UC Software 5.5.4.2255

2. Hybrid Exchange Configuration

3. Skype for Business 2015 on premise environment

4. Exchange On Premise account : xxx@domain.com

5. O365 account : yyy@domain.com

The situation we have currently :

Logon using On premise

1. Logon with on premise account xxx@domain .com

2. EWS deployed https://mail.domain.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx

3. calendar and Contacts synched

4. Everything worked fine

Logon using O365

1. Using O365 account yyy@domain.com

2. EWS not deployed https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx

3. Calendar and contact not synch

 

So anyone has an idea how to make it work using O365 on Trio 8800 at Hybrid environment ?

I can not seem to enable SIP and 802.1x on a HDX7000 we have. Are these features optional and require a key?

Realpresence desktop behind a proxy

I have a realpresence desktop installed on a windows pc that it is behind a http proxy, through the proxy can access the internet.

 

Now if I try to dial anything I cannot do it, is there a way to give to realpresence desktop this network proxy settings or I have to figure out another way to avoid the proxy.

Hello,

 

Here is hte information on my Polycom RealPresence GroupSeries 500:

 

Model: Realpresence Group 500

System Software: Realease - 5.0.0-211246

Maintenance/Warranty Status: None/Expired

 

I am getting ghost calls to the polycom.  The person dialing  in is using 1001@polycomIPAddress.  For example, the incomming ghost call looks like, 1001@123.456.78.910.  Note, I did not use the device's real IP address.

 

Can I block the address of the incomming call?

RealPresence Group 310 - Cannot change Home Screen Settings

Hi,

We have a series of RealPresence Group 310 devices with RP Touch panels connected.  We use SfB for the ineropoerability but don't enable the interface as we want to retain branding, etc. I was able to turn off the Skype Mode on all but one device. This device will not let me change any settings on the Home Screen Settings page, even if I export the profile, change the fields and re-import it.

I have checked every possible setting and compared the profile content with another unit and I can't find anything different.  I would factory reset it but I only have remote access to it and there is no interface option to do this and there are no guides for SSH control.

Here's the profile header info, which matches all the other units:

RealPresence Group 500 will not factory reset

Hello,

I have a Group 500 codec that will not respond, and will not factory reset.

 

The codec will not respond to Polycom remotes, so I cannot see the detailed system information. The serial number for the unit is 8215044314F0CV, but without the remote, I cannot view the current system software.

 

The power sensor does not function either. The unit will not power off so I can try a proper restore. Nor does it recognize that I am touching the power sensor during my attempts at restoring.

 

I have a paperweight at this point. Any ideas on getting the system to reset?

power consumption group series

21688. RPG V6.1.7 throwing an error, Resolution too low.

  EU generally use BlueJeans but we couldn't replicate in a P2P H.323 call.  BJ say they aren't generating the error.  Community and Polycom KB don't throw any previous issues.  CDR H.264HP mostly @ 720p.  Anyone know why the RPG is throwing this error message?

I'm looking for instructions on how to perform a remote packet capture on GS using Wireshark. I seem to remember, there was such a thing, but can't find the guide for GS, only for Trio...

Realpresence Desktop 3.9 cannot start in demo mode

I have a very weird problem, I want to test the Realpresence Desktop 3.9.

I install the device, I press on the Individual option that is presented to me but I get the following message

 

You are not authorized to perform this action.

 

I check and the SIP and H323 services are disabled although in my settings are enabled.

Finally I don't get a dialpad to make a call.

 

It's like the application is locked and not enabled for 30 days as it should be.

I uninstalled the application and run as administrator the installation but the same problem occurs.

My account is the only account on the pc and it is an administrator but still nothing.

Dear;
they will have some documentation indicating which type of standard (ulaw or alaw) of the G.711 codec uses the real ppresence debut, since in the data sheet only G.711 appears but does not specify the standard.

Hello there.

 

We've installed Polycom Group 500 with a Skype for Business license in a directory here in Santiago Chile, with a combination of external and native mics. The client's complain is that at the other end of the call the audio (our microphone array) is too low, and that they're having a hard time trying to understand whatever is mentioned on the call. 

 

Group 500 device has the 6.1.7 software upgrade, has transmission gain of 18 (maximum), 3,5mm input gain of 7 for external mics array (if increased to 8,9 or 10, it only distorts the signal, but volume doesn't go up). Audio from the mics array mixer is very healthy. Plus we are using the default Group 500 Polycom microphone.

QDX 6000 doesn't respond to remote control

I'm trying to call using a QDX 6000 but the system doesn't seem to respond to the remote control. The main unit seems to register that the remote is being pressed because the light changes color when I press a button on the remote, but nothing changes on the screen.
Is there another way to change what is on screen(keyboards, mouses, etc.) or is there a way to make the system work correctly?


EagleEye IV USB Camera - SfB on Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop

Hello,

 

We are trying to use the EagleEye IV USB Camera with Skype for Business on Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, When we go to settings on the SfB client we can see the Video preview of the camera, however when the Skype call starts there is no video, we stop and start the camera but nothing. Is there any driver or specific software version needed to make this work? 

 

below are the details of the citrix enviroment we are running:

Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 7.15 LTSR CU2
Citrix Reciever for Linux 12.3
Citrix Connector 2.5
Citrix Realtime Media Engine 2.3
Citrix Receiver for Windows 4.12 LTSR

 

The Camera is a Polycom MPTZ-B Eagle Eye IV USB Camera 1.1.1-432.

Greetings to the distinguished community !  There are several end points RPDebut. All of them work in Dynamic Provisioning mode. There was a need to change the host name. I can not find such a setting. Maybe someone knows the secret, where can I fix it? ))

Pano App - static list of endpoint

Hallo,

can we insert a static list of endpoint or PANO`s in  ip address section in Pano App as it was in the application PPCIP?

In our organization, blurethoot is blocked so no detection is possible, we have to enter it manually , it is not accepted by the user.

In PPCIP we could enter this with the key in the registry.

Update and Options Problem on a HDX8000 after Factory Restore

Hi all

On a HDX8000 HD PAL Firmware 3.0 I did a Factory Restore.
Now I am on an old 2.5 firmware version and lost the option key. OK so far.


On my Licensing Dashboard I find my HDX activated and Key Codes for Updates from
2.5 to 2.6 and to 3.0, the License Number and the KeyCode.

My Problem is: neither the Update Keycode nor the Options does work.
The Keys from the Dashboard worked before i did the Factory Restore.

So what am i doing wrong?
