Description of the requested service When making call by Polycom realpresence group with a specific country for example from bogota to peru generates error "The intermediary network by which the call is sent does not provide service to the destination address". It is tried from another Polycom ours and the same error is presented as when the call is made from that country to ours.

Hi, 

 

One of our admins left the business and didnt leave us with the details to login to our polycom realpresence group 500. 

 

Is there anyway that we can reset the admin password without defaulting the unit. We have some remote vonfigs setup and i dont want to set all these up again. 

 

I am trying to get to a login prompt via the browser but am not getting nothing at all. i know that port 5060 is most likely the one that i need to login, but not looking good so far. 

 

Any help will be most appreacated as this is used on a daily basis.

RPG700 content view single monitor when idle

Good morning, we are on 6.0.1 and since moving to 6.0 have noticed a change in monitor behaviour, or we've just got something not done right.

 

Normally, when idle (out of call), we've had content on both monitors. During calls, one side far cam other side content.

 

When we hit 6.0, and when idle, we can't get the content up on monitor one unless we set content as the priority (content, far, near) on the monitor setting. But, in call, we want far on 1 and content on 2.

 

Can't seem to make this work..... We do have the touchpad connected also if relevant. But always have had.

 

Any help appreciated. Having to change this back and forth to satisfy in and out of call users.

Hi,

We have a Polycom group 500 series and we cannot get access to the web interface we have tried most options that we could chamge for it, but none of these seem to work. tried using putty to SSh and Tenet to it as well but to no avail

 

any ideas???

Group 310 device 15 minutes later the communication with my polycom device is down

I have a group 310 device I only connect via remote as I have a single devices. The result has always been that it is not connected for more than 15 minutes.


The remote site where I connect says that when I start the meeting, 15 minutes later the communication with my polycom team is lost and the communication could not be restored.

The following actions were performed:

1. I valued the internet service on my site and the remote and it was functional.
2. The network connections were checked in the polycom computer and it was generating link and it showed the public static ip that corresponds to the address that has the equipment.
3. The mains cable is replaced by the equipment.
4. Restart the polycom computer

And it was not possible to reconnect with this point.

I am presenting a problem with a polycom qdx 6000 when I try to call remote site lasts 10 minutes and it drops the call and it say message "Remote site disconnected. Wait for polycom disconnected call". Software Release - 4.0.2-3152.

RealPresence 500 outbound access via Firewall - can i open outbond ports only?

Hi there,

 

I would like to enable our RealPresens 500 to make outbound H323 video calls only.  No inbound allowed

 

Will allowing only outbound ports work?

* TCP 1720 for the initial call setup

  • TCP 49152 => 65535 for additional signalling
  • UDP 16384 => 32764 for the media between the two endpoints

RP Group 500 and IP7000 and Audio Only Calls

I've integrated an IP7000 and RP Group 500, with the IP7000 connected to the netowrk with it's own SIP extension so it would manage Audio-only calls.

 

Most everything is working well, the only thing I'm having an issue with is incoming Audio-only calls, being able to readily answer/distinguish them on the IP7000.

 

I'm trying to create a single extension to dial into the room, regardless of if the far end is trying establish an audio-only call or video call. I've been able to do that with a Hunt Group (on Unify's OpenScape Voice platform), and when called, the result on the IP7000 is two incoming calls on the display, and depending on the call selected, determines if the call is answered as a video call or audio only. The problem is that there's nothing on the display differentiaing the two calls; they look exactly the same, displaying "FROM:<Caller-ID>".

 

When I check the call logs for answered calls, video call show answered as "Line 2 (Video)".

 

My question is, is there anyway to have the IP7000 display which line is which when the call is ringing?

 

Of course, if there's a more elegnant or simpler way that Polycom recommends for single extension dialing, while maintaining Audio-only option on the IP7000, I'm open to that as well.

Connecting real presence group 500 with Epson projector(EB1945)

We are installing new polycom real presence group 500 endpoint.challenge is we want to connect it to our epson projector,which can accept only one HDMI and one VGA source for split screen mode.We tried HDMI to VGA adaptor to convert a source but it's not working. Then we tried HDMI to DVI adaptor + DVI to VGA adaptor still it didn't work.tried to set the monitor output to DVI still getting blank page.

 

 

Help us to connect with projecter.

HDX 8000 Resolution

Hello,

 

I have a polycom hdx 8000 set up in my main conference board room. Whenever connecting a laptop up to the touch pad via USB, people + content IP opens up. Its version is 1.3.0.494. However, the screen is always cut off and never fits to the television. Its tolerable on windows 7 but on windows 10 it cuts entirely too much off. My question is, how do you get the resolution to display properly and fit to the screen? I've tried every resolution possible on various laptops, so I am wondering if this is an issue with a polycom setting itself.

Real Presence Group 500 and Skype Mode

Hello,

 

I have a Real Presence Group 500 which I have successfully registered with Skype for Business, although whenever I do so it switches to Skype mode which I cannot turn off (greyed out) 

 

and then requires a Realpresence touch device to continue which I do not have

 

Is it possible to enable Skype for Business without requiring a Touch Device? Can I just use a remote control?

I have to install RTV licenses so that some hdx8000 devices can talk to
Skype for business. I know that I should go to support.polycom.com but I do not know where and register them with each serial so you must change the configuration of the equipment to be registered in the active directory, I could say here or a tutorial how to do it.

Group Series 500 - Remote Control Battery Discharges very quickly

Hello everyone,

 

We are using Group Series 500 and its remote control device has a problem.The problem is its battery discharges very quickly.By very quickly i mean it doesnt even last 5 minutes after a 4 hour long recharging.

First i thought cause of the problem is the removable battery but past week i ordered brand new battery and it is also discharges very quickly.So what could be the cause of this problem?How can i troubleshoot my remote control?Do i have to order brand new remote control too.

HDX 8000 Remote Monitoring locks when displaying content

Hello,

 

We have a number of HDX 8000 units. When you use the remote monitoring tools from the web interface the camera feed displayed in the remote monitor locks up as soon as you display content. As soon as you stop displaying content the camera feed in the remote monitoring tool will start refreshing normally.

 

This only happens when in a video conference. Has anyone else run into this before? Is it normal for this to occur?

 

I have tried different firmware versions and it happens with all of them.

 

Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

CX7000 troubles with new versions of Exchange Server

Hi

 

I have got CX7000 since 2013, now it seems that CX7000 is facing troubles to connect with Exchange Server in Offce 365. Do you know whether CX7000 is useful from now on with new versions of Office 365?

 

If so, is it any way to reuse it with another software (Linux) that could give the possibility ot still make it useful? The hardware has been working great so far.

Can someone point to me how to add contacts to Group Series 500?

I tried the PDF manual but the instructions or wrong. 

Or perhaps how to import contacts to the console?
