Hello all!

 

I use Polycom HDX 7000 and connect to monitor. When i change resolution from 720 to 1080p, my monitor can't display with 1080p resolution. And now, i can't see anything to return 720.

 

Can't you help me?

- I see that it has no LAN interface, so how it connected to the network.

- Can it connected / make call to a HDX endpoint ?

- Do you share me the setup or user guide for this production?

RPD clients disconnects

Hi

in a Polycom infrastructure we face the following problem: with a lot of RPD users thery are disconected from the call.

Looking in DMA call events there are a series of

H245 RoundTripDelayRequest

H245 RoundTripDelayResponse

followed by

RAS DisengageRequest (with disengage reason inside :14116)

Endpoint Ended the call normally

RASDiseangageConfirm

 

and the client is disconnected.

 

Can't find till now the reason for this is happening and is very frustatrating

can anybody have a idea how to solve it?

We just bought a x50, and was told it has native Microsoft Teams? I can't find anything on howto configure Teams for this x50, can anyone help?


X50 Rest API Login

How do you create a connection using the rest api?  I am writing code in c# to control a x50.  I have the documentation, but it does not say what the x50 is wanting for a login.  It says admin credentials, but how do I get these to the unit to allow api commands?

Hello community,

 

We've just brought a Poly Studio X50. We use it in device mode, via a PC on a big monitor. 

 

About half the time when we connect it through device mode, its not able to find the polycom device. We tested other cables, other pc's, we even tested another Poly Studio X50. Nothing seems to work.

 

When ww use the same unit (Studio X50) on another network it works just fine. Is there som kind of network settings we need to apply on our network for Studio X50 to work in device mode?

My school has a HDX 6000. I have upgraded the unit to the latest version.

The remote control stopped working at about the same time so I am assuming I need to upgrade/edit the remote controller in some way.

Question: Could my assumption be correct?

Question: If correct could you point me to a  FAQ.

Studio X50 Current Screen

As the title states, I'm trying to figure out how to view the current screen with the Studio X series.  For example, on the Group Series it's IP//touch/index.html.   Would love to have a similar function on these devices.

X30/X50/G7500, Zoom Rooms and disabling Wi-Fi

If you are using a Studio X30/X50/G7500 in Zoom Room mode (details above) and need to disable Wi-Fi be sure to do it in Poly Video Mode before switching the provider to Zoom Rooms. I had an X30 that was broadcasting via Wi-Fi as "DIRECT-GZ-StudioX30" and I could not see where that can be turned off. I changed the provider back to Poly and disabled Wi-Fi (because as I discovered there is no way to do it in Zoom Rooms mode) under Security- Wireless Security and then changed the provider to "Zoom Rooms" and the device is no longer broadcasting.

I'm willing to bet that this method will apply to other settings as well.

Hope this helps someone out.

Calling to public IP

Nice to meet you. May I ask you about calling to public IP.

 

One of the client request for a meeting which is used Polycom RealPresense Desktop. So we installed RealPresense trial version. 

 

They gave an IP. Their IP is 203.81.77.190. Our IP is 192.168.1.137. I can't call to their IP. Please educate me.

Previous Software for VSX 7000

I have just purchased a second hand VSX 7000 for home use and have successfully carried out the erfl process. The unit is now asking me to update the system but I cannot find the software anywhere due to the units age. I have upgrade key codes for version 8.5, 8.7 & 9.0 but cannot seem to find the downloads anywhere.

 

Would someone be able to help me please?

Hi there!

I have a set X30+TC8 working well.

 

It's more convenient for me to put the bar under the TV and  therefore due to connection cables it's better to put the bar upside down.

Is there any option to mirror the picture vertically? I see only horisontal mirroring option in the settings.

Desktop program VS Mobile App - Multiple Questions

Hello,

I'm currently assisting in tech support for a client in which he is required to use "Polycom Video" for legal matters. A government court system, or someone who works there, apparently set this up for use and sent my client clear instructions on how to access the session for both the iPhone and Android versions of the app. He is not hosting any sessions, only told the instructions on how to download either of the apps, and to input the number and IP of the host. (Fake Example: 12356@127.0 0.1)

We have not tested it yet, but I assume after you "dial" or type in the correct information, you're connected and then you're all set to video chat. However, my client wants to video chat on the computer, NOT the mobile apps. 

 

So I'm thinking, no problem. I search a bit to find the website, and see there is indeed a Desktop version. However, apparently it's associated with a "trial" regardless of using it for "Enterprise" or "Individual." 

Going to "Enterprise" the steps are VERY similar to the steps laid out on the mobile apps. Until the part that says, "Skip server" which is available in the mobile app, but not the Desktop app.

Trying to setup the "Individual" part, requires there to eventually be a Trial purchased. We are simply using this per the instructions of the person who is hosting a room, not planning on creating a room or use any full fledged features.

My questions are:


  • Why are the mobile apps free to use and clear cut, but the Desktop app suggests a trial?
  • In the Desktop app, is there a way to skip the "Connect to server" part like in the mobile apps?
  • Is there a separate app for the Desktop with less or "lite" features, just to connect to a host that lacks a "trial?"
  • Also, again, why do you have this setup like this? Why provide unrestricted access to "dial" in the Mobile app, but not in the Desktop app? Seems like a poor design choice that frustrates end-users and makes it more difficult for the paying clients who are hosting or setting this up for their business. Which also brings me to ask...
  • When the person who setup the server / client to connect to paid for this... Does that license key act as a key that others can enter into their Desktop App as an Enterprise, so they don't have to deal with the "trial" non-sense?

 

As far as I can see, for some reason Polycom's business model is: Make everything free for mobile users, but if you want to sit at your computer with a webcam, you gotta pay for the Desktop client.

This seems a little... off. If that's your (Polycom's) business model, sure, you have the right to do that. However, you're not considering the average user or customer's options of easy access and setup; in my opinion this is not only a poor design but terrible business strategy as well. The best companies keep things simple.

If there's a simpler way like an application for Windows that's just for connecting similar to the mobile apps, great, let me know if I overlooked it. Otherwise, what's going on here?

Thank you in advance for any replies you can give. My client will be asking questions of the person who set this up tomorrow to see if even they know. (Though, even that the email only contained instructions for mobile phones, they as well also know that it only works on phones... Which, frustrates my client even further because that seems like the most unprofessional thing ever. Especially when it comes to using it in a business setting like important meetings or court relations, etc.)

Manually deactivating the camera (Trio 8800 + Visual Group + EagleEye)

Hello everyone,

 

I have the following components in use:

 

Trio 8800

Version: 5.9.0.11421

 

Trio VisualPro Group 310

Versions: 6.2.2.1-600016

EagleEye 4

EagleEye Producer

 

I use this combination for Zoom. I've also connected the trio to our exchange, so the trio can see when the room is occupied. This occupancy then also activates the camera.
Now, my question is, is it possible to create a button on the Trio that deactivates the camera and returns it to the rest position?
