Diagnostics Mode: Audio works, but no Video

Hey, we are using a Polycom HDX6000.  We have an issue where we are forced to check the box for diagnostics mode under call preferences in order to get both audio and video on the far end to work.  If we uncheck that box it will shut off any video on the far end for the device.  Audio will work fine and they can see us, we just cannot see them.  This will happen using a lobby IP as well as a direct IP call to the device.  We matched our settings identically to another working Polycom device of the same model, but it will not work unless we check off that diagnostics mode box.  Is there any way to get this to working properly with that mode off?  With diagnostics mode we get audio and video, but both are very choppy for the near and far end which at times will force calls to drop after a while.  Attached is a picture of the setting I am referring to.  Any help would be appreicated.  Thanks.


Group 500 - PiP options for Content - single monitor - Version 6.0.0

I've recently upgraded a single monitor Group 500 system to version 6.0.0-280932 and seem to be missing a few Picture-In-Picture options when sharing Content in a call.  Specifically there are only the tiled image modes available and no longer options to have Far overlap Content in one of the four corners or an explicit Content only mode.  This is true for Monitor 1 set to Content, then Far, Then Near as well as Content, then Far.  Is there some other setting that I'm missing or were these PiP options explicity removed in version 6.0.0?

RP Group Software 6.0 - Join Lync Meeting issues

I upgraded my Group 500 to 6.0 and noticed today that I can't join Lync meetings like I could before.

 

Anyone else seeing this?

 

The codec is registered to exchange, the group 500 gets the invite and correctly parses the info, then dials into the meeting like it did in the past but the codec connects to the lync meeting then quickly disconnects.  The group 500 Lync account is still shown in the Lync meeting but displays "not in the call" when you hover over the account.

 

 

I know there are a lot of moving parts but before rolling back software and testing I wanted to put this out there.

VSX7000 Splash Screen

Hi - newbie to forum.  I have a VSX7000 and cannot seem to find HOW TO CHANGE THE STARTUP SPLASH SCREEN to my company logo.

 

Can anyone help?

 

I am on V8.5 and according to Polycom licensing, I am not entitled to upgrade to anything later.  It does have a splash screen of the previous owner that comes up from restart so there has to be a way.....

 

Any help is appreciated.

My own ip keeps calling in polycom hdx 7000

Hello,

my device is getting calls from my device IP.

Let's say my IP is 1.1.1.1 then I get calls from 1.1.1.1.

I keep getting these calls every day like 40 times a day.

If I look into Call Detail Report in web interface then then I see Remote System name and also Call number 1 is 1012@1.1.1.1 or with 62977@ 1000@ and so on. I guess those numbers are ports that something or someone is trying to use. I heard there's something called as Toll Fraud but I guess that's not case because my device is just calling itself.

Is there a solution or an explaination to this or if there's a way whitelist IP's which can call to my device?

Hello all,

 

the below covers the installation of a RealPresence Group Upgrade Server.

 

Most of this is covered already => here<= for FTP or => here<= for HTTP but the following Items are important:

 

  • GroupSeriesSofwtareUpdate_02.PNG Assign the Virtual Directory to a local Directory

  • GroupSeriesSofwtareUpdate_03.PNG

    Unzip the Group Series update but point the "root" Directory to the Directory containing the unzipped files.

    Unix or Linux: /rseries/geninfo.sh
    Windows: \rseries\geninfo.bat

  • Expand the default Web Site and select the Mime Types

    IIS_Mime_Types.PNG

    Ensure you have the .plcm , .txt and .sig allowed

  • If you are updating to a major or minor release, obtain a software update key code (.txt) file from the Polycom website. Save the file as sw_keys.txt and place it in rseries/platform/ on your web server.

  • Upgrade Server should include the Protocol

Video issue between Polycom HDX 7000HD and Lifesize Cloud

We're having a video issue between our Polycom HDX 7000HD and another college that's using a Lifesize Cloud Meeting Rooms .we can connect to the Lifesize Cloud  Meeting Room but they see no video of any participants and aren't able to see their Video. audio is working fine both sides. I'm just wondering is this is an incompatibility between the systems or something else.  Has anyone else seen this issue?

 

 

 


Register Skype for Business online

I have a RealPresence 310 with Lync license key.

I have installed newest firmware (6.0) and I believe Skype/Lync for Office 365 should work.

But I cannot register SIP with my Skype online.

Tried every setting possible, but still get the error "Registration failed".

Anyone got this to work?

We have Polycom HDX 7000 with multipoint key and we want  would like to integrate HDX 7000 with Lync 2013 server, as per Lync RTV.

 

Is my Polycom HDX 7000 is able to support Lync RTV and support multiparty conferencing ?

Hi Everyone!

The problem with focusing EagleEye camera.

(The problem appeared last week. What happened is unknown to me, colleagues say that the worse after a videoconference)

At maximum zoom the camera objects look clear, not blurred. But at a distance things are blurry. At maximum distance, it is not visible almost anything.  It seems that have not configured the camera focus. But the focus or sharpness settings  in the web interface I have not found.

Is it possible somehow to set the camera?

VSX 3000 - no video from endpoint

I do not receive video from the ip address endpoint. I can receive audio and the name appears on screen but still no video. I have tried test site ip address with the same results. The end point receives my audio and video.

We are using Polycom HDX7000 in Pakistan, Now CALL HAS ENDED messege appear when we call far site in USA and UK, but polycom some test sites in directory are dialing and connecting, can anyone plz help.

Group 500 video issue

Hi. Our client  just bought Group 500 device.
They connect their camera system through HDMI-HDCI adapter to G500 HDCI input - everything looks OK. Now they want to connect Group 500 HDMI 1 output to DV Lab DSC928 video switcher. And here the show begins.
1. When connecting HDMI 1 output to DSC928, video is horrible (HDMI 2 looks the same). Screenshot:

2. We tried maybe 5 different HDMI cables - some of them works better, some worse, but there is no clear view;
3. When G500 HDMI 1 output is connected directly to LCD monitor - everything is OK, view is clear;
4. We tried a lot of different video sources (laptops, HDMI cameras etc.) connect to DSC928 video switcher - everything looks cool;
5. We also tried few different HDMI spliters between G500 and DSC928 - nothing better happened.
6. At the end, we tried to connect another Group500 device - nothing happened.
7. Firmware upgrade from 5.1.20 to 6.0.0 didn't help.

So the question is:
Does Polycom Group 500 HDMI outputs supports EXACTLY 1920x1080i50? This one is chosen in web interface.

Doea anyone has some thoughts?

 

Video endpoint software that connects to HDX8000 by IP address only

We have an HDX8000 configured with a public IP address to connect to, no UC gateway. We want to be able to use it with people outside of our organization that we might speak to once this way and providing licenses for RealPresence or PVX to such people is not feasible. Are there open-architecture video endpoint viewer programs/apps that can connect to the HDX8000 by IP address alone?

Group 500 integration with Call Manager Express and multipoint audio and video conference

Hello,
does anybody knows can I registering Real Presence Group 500 in Cisco Call Manager Express. Also I want to make video conference with other sites and some users to dial internal number via Call Manager Express for audio only, other to join via other Polycom video systems?

RealPresence Group Software v.6.0 -- issue provisioning to RPRM

Hi guys,

 

When I update an Group Series (RPG500) to new version 6.0.0, it doesn´t register anymore on my RPRM at the Provisioning setup. This is the Group 500 outside of my network. The others Realpresence Group inside  my LAN, register fine.

 

I´ve restored this codec to the factory defaults (pushing the restore button above the codec), and on the version 5.1.1 this Realpresence Group (Outside LAN) register fine. But when I update to the software version 6.0.0, it does not register anymore.

 

It seems that the codec doesnt find the Server, as you can see at the picture attached.

 

Does anyone take that issue recently?

 

Below the list of components that I have installed.

 

RealPresence Group -- Version 6.0.0.0

RealPresence Access Director -- 4.1.0_build_16110

RealPresence Resource Manager -- v8.3.0.0_83

DMA7000 -- 6.0.2_Build_11
